Joe Pound is a nationally recognized softball coach, offensive strategist, and player development specialist who most recently served as Head Softball Coach at St. Johns River State College. During his tenure, Pound transformed the Vikings into one of the premier NJCAA programs in the nation, leading the program to its first conference championship, state championship, region championship, and national championship in 2024. Under his leadership, St. Johns River produced multiple 50-win seasons, three consecutive NJCAA World Series appearances, and nationally ranked teams.

Known for developing explosive offenses, Pound's teams consistently ranked among the nation's leaders in batting average, runs scored, slugging percentage, and home runs. In 2025, the Vikings posted a .388 team batting average, scored 581 runs, and blasted 107 home runs while finishing with a 56-11 record. His offensive system helped develop numerous All-Americans, conference players of the year, and collegiate scholarship athletes, including six players who produced 20+ home run seasons over a two-year span.

In 2026, Pound's offense continued its tradition of elite offensive production, generating 122 home runs further cementing his reputation as one of the top offensive minds in collegiate softball.

A three-time FCSAA Division II Coach of the Year, Pound is widely respected for his ability to build championship cultures, maximize offensive performance, and help athletes reach their collegiate and professional goals. His proven track record of winning, player development, and offensive innovation has made him a sought-after speaker, mentor, and coach throughout the softball community.
