Stripe Use
How CoachSynQ uses Stripe for card payments and payouts, and what coaches, organizations, and parents can expect.
Why Stripe?
Stripe is one of the most trusted payment platforms in the world. CoachSynQ uses Stripe Connect so funds for a session or camp are paid directly to the coach or organization that earned them — CoachSynQ never holds your money in between.
For coaches and organizations
- Onboarding: a short Stripe-hosted verification flow (bank info, business details, ID). Done once, then payouts flow automatically.
- Payouts: Stripe pays out to your bank on its standard schedule (typically a couple of business days after a charge clears).
- Fees: CoachSynQ charges a 3% service fee with a $2 minimum (after discounts). Stripe charges its standard card-processing fee (2.9% + $0.30). On your Payments page you decide whether parents pay each fee or you absorb it.
- Refunds: issue refunds from the booking detail in CoachSynQ. The lesson amount is refundable; the non-refundable processing fee follows Stripe's published rules.
For parents
- You pay with any major credit/debit card or wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay) through Stripe's hosted checkout.
- Your card details never touch CoachSynQ — they're entered directly on Stripe.
- Receipts come from Stripe (and a confirmation from CoachSynQ). For refund questions, contact your coach or organization first.
Security and compliance
Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment-card security. CoachSynQ doesn't store full card numbers or CVCs. See Stripe's privacy policy and end-user terms for the details of Stripe's data handling.
Restricted businesses
Stripe doesn't process payments for certain business types. If your coaching offering falls outside Stripe's restricted businesses list, payouts may be paused. We'll work with you to resolve, but ultimately Stripe makes the determination.
